Junior Naturalist Club
Nature lovers aged 6 through 13 (grades 1-8) are encouraged to sign up for this alternating Saturday program. Sessions are 2 hours long and are themed to match the season. We’ll meet to share gratitude and explore through fun, adventure and crafting.
Led by Free Bird Nature School staff and volunteers, this program focuses on developing our naturalist skills by investigating Mother Nature’s clues, bounties and treasures. Join us as we explore the Irvine River and the forests, fields, and wetlands in Elora, Ontario.
The Free Bird Junior Naturalists Club isn’t about going far or staying long, but about going deep. Bring questions, find answers.
Locations and Times
Junior Naturalists will meet biweekly at Free Bird Nature School.
Sessions are generally held from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, but timings may vary based on the topic covered or the location of a particular session. For example, our river walks are slightly longer.
Organizers will notify participants well in advance of any schedule changes.
This is an outdoor-based program and participants are expected to come prepared for the weather and conditions of the day.

The program occurs every other Saturday from April to June 2025.
