It was a beautiful fall day today!
The children are still exploring new spaces on the property. New forests, mini ecosystems, and trees to climb! They are constantly finding their own edges.
We found the remains of this bird in early September, but they were forgotten. One of the children wondered today “what ever happened to that dead bird we found?”, and off we went looking to see if it was still there. This rediscovery sparked so many questions about the cycle of nature and inquiries into the animal kingdom – is a bird a mammal?
The students were full of energy on this chilly fall day, but they did allow themselves quiet moments during their sit spots. Just a few perfect moments in the sun.
